Account – meaning a unique account created for you to access our service or parts of our service.

Candidate – a seafarer looking for a permanent, seasonal or temporary position,

Country – refers to the United Kingdom Overseas Territory of Gibraltar as a country.

We take data protection very seriously and understand the importance of protecting your privacy and Personal Information.

If you are person or corporate body looking for yacht management or crew services, the information we store and process about you is limited to:

  • Your name, business email address and telephone number.

 

We use this to supply you with information about our services and candidates for the roles you seek to fill and to send you regular newsletters (if you opt in). Should you no longer wish to receive our newsletters you may unsubscribe at any time. Please inform us via email if you wish to do so.

If you are a candidate looking for employment, the information we store and process about you is:

  • your contact information (name, email address and telephone number)
  • the information contained in your CV,
  • your statutory documentation.

 

You provide us with this when you register / submit your personal data via our website or email us directly.

“Personal Data” is information that identifies you as an individual such as (but not limited to) your first name and family name, date of birth, citizenship, email address, phone number, IP address, CV and your statutory documentation including any Certificates of Competency, passport, STCW certification, your marine medical (eg. ENG1) and any references from previous employment.

Any personal data including but not limited to CV’s, Cover Letters, References and any other information provided by the candidate through this website or via email or social media is subject to Yachtify Privacy Policy. By registering, sending personal data and using this website, the crew member agrees to Yachtify collecting, storing, holding and accessing their personal data and forwarding on to prospective employers. Candidates that register on our website authorise Yachtify to contact referees for a reference check where necessary.

The Company may share your Personal Data in the following situations:

  • For business transfers – we may use your information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganisation, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding in which Personal Data held by Us regarding our Service to our users is amongst the assets transferred.
  • With business partners – we may share your information with our business partners to offer you certain products, services or promotions.
